The problem of household waste is still being serious issue to be discussed in the context save environment. Government and non-government sectors have done actions. Campaigns on are not successful yet. One factor affected this lack society’s knowledge attitude toward negative impacts, management, use waste. activity was by community service team Universitas Lancang Kuning Pengambang Rumbai Timur, Riau socialize principles 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as one effort methods used were lecturing discussion give understanding members about 3R. Data analysis from questionnaire shows that members’ management improved after attending program. It can concluded objectives program achieved well.
 Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga masih menjadi isu yang banyak diperbincangkan dalam usaha menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian lingkungan masyarakat. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan baik oleh pemerintah maupun pihak swasta. Kampanye sebagai untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan sepertinya belum mampu mengatasi ini. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan kesadaran/sikap masyarakat terhadap bahaya, pengelolaan pemanfaatan tangga. Kegiatan sosialisasi prinsip (Reuse, Reduce, merupakan peduli tim pengabdian di Desa Riau. Metode/teknik pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah tanya jawab memberikan pemahaman kepada para peserta tentang dengan Hasil pengolahan data angket menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan sikap melalui Prinsip tersebut.
